Health Canada Amends Cosmetics Hotlist

Glycerin gets added to the list.

Health Canada has amended its Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist. It now includes materials such as cyanoacrylate-based adhesives, diethylene glycol, diethylhexyl phthalate, 1-naphthol and even glycerin. The organization added glycerin to the list due to possible contamination of diethylene glycol (DEG) in glycerin. Deleted items include nail adhesives. The entry has been removed due to the addition of the “Cyanoacrylate-based adhesives” entry. More info: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca...
